South Australians who are homeless (including rough sleepers) or at risk of homelessness find it more difficult to maintain the social distance or hygiene practices that are so vital to their health and to reducing the spread of COVID-19 more generally.

SA Housing Authority is committed to working with you, our sector partners, to provide more assistance to people who are homeless.

Homelessness to Home (H2H) system

Contract managers are here to help you

COVID-19 has created increased demand for services across the homelessness sector, including information and advice, crisis accommodation and longer-term affordable housing.

Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) have a critical role in supporting people experiencing homelessness to manage social distancing, and to support quarantine and self-isolation options. It is essential we continue to work together to deliver these vital services, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.

If your organisation is experiencing increased demand and you require support, we encourage you to talk to your Contract Manager.

Working across Government

As well as working with sector partners, SA Housing Authority is also working with its partners within government, particularly Department of Human Services (DHS), to ensure a coordinated approach.
