With many of our regional communities set experience very hot temperatures over the next 3 days, local Code Red weather plans are now active in the following regions until Sunday 28 November 2020:
- Riverland
- Clare
- Port Pirie
- Port Augusta
We're busy working in partnership with our homelessness service providers to ensure additional accommodation and support is available to keep the most vulnerable in our community cool, hydrated and out of the heat.
The Homeless Connect SA service will continue to operate 24 hours, 7 days a week to connect people in crisis to advice, services and emergency accommodation.
Anyone who is experiencing or at risk of homelessness is encouraged to call Homeless Connect SA on 1800 003 308 at any time, wherever you are in South Australia.
Please take care yourself and check in family members and friends, particularly those who may be more vulnerable during periods of hot weather.
