With fulltime teams now appointed to manage bushfire recovery centres across the state, it's a great opportunity to reflect on and acknowledge the incredible work of our staff, other government agencies and our community partners, since the devastating bushfires that affected so many South Australians earlier this year.

These staff worked with commitment and flexibility under challenging and constantly changing circumstances, regularly going above and beyond to help the most vulnerable in our community.

Staff jumped on planes and ferries without hesitation, leaving loved ones for weeks at a time to do what needed to be done - always offering support and helping to find a way forward.

A big thank you to all of the staff and volunteers that worked at both home and away, there isn't space to tell all of your stories, but you know what you did – you are the hard working people that are always willing to put others first, the ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
