Every day, SA Housing Authority is building capability to ensure our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders are engaged in housing service decisions that affect them and their communities.

In August 2021, we launched our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which supports the national reconciliation movement and drives activity to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including our staff, our customers and the communities we serve.

Our RAP strives for cultural awareness and competency across SA Housing Authority, Aboriginal economic development outcomes and is designed to build strong relationships with Aboriginal communities in South Australia.

Central to our reconciliation ambition is a shared vision that Aboriginal peoples in South Australia have equitable access to safe, secure and affordable homes achieved through shared decision-making and culturally informed services that maintain Aboriginal peoples’ personal and cultural wellbeing.
