Works are well underway at Purrkanaitya Elder Village, a significant housing project located in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

The Aboriginal-owned and culturally significant site is being transformed into a new village for Aboriginal Elders. It will include 40 units, thoughtfully designed to bring Elders together, helping to build community and preserve culture.

The project is a collaborative effort between the South Australian Housing Trust, Housing Australia, Aboriginal Community Housing Limited, the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation, and the Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation.

Construction is progressing on schedule, with multiple slabs already poured and more expected later this month.
