We are committed to improving housing outcomes for people in South Australia, particularly those in need of safe, fit-for-purpose public, social and affordable housing. Appropriate housing is an important factor in creating both a strong economic environment and a thriving social community in the state.

The SA Housing Authority owns residential property and vacant land across South Australia that will be used to deliver new communities, with more affordable and public housing. Some of our existing residential properties are ageing and no longer fit-for-purpose, and will be demolished as part of our ongoing development.

All developments and home designs will be developed in accordance with relevant Council and regulatory planning requirements, including mandatory public notification requirements.

The Authority will continue to keep the community informed about plans for their area. Development applications will also be available via the public development application register, Plan.sa.gov.au
