Build Your Career
Build Your Career is a full-time, 11-week building and construction pre-employment training course. It combines classroom learning delivered by Registered Training Organisation SYC and hands on construction experience gained while refurbishing an SA Housing Authority property. Site locations vary and will be confirmed with participants before the course begins.
Participants will learn skills needed to prepare for work with builders engaged by SA Housing Authority.
The program combines units from Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20113) with some units from Certificates I and II in Construction (CPC20111 and CPC20112).
Following completion of the course, SA Housing Authority will organise graduate work placements and job trials with builders.
