Health Safety and Wellbeing Co-ordinator

...

Earlier this year, I started a new role in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator.

Although I only started recently, I am enjoying the work and the team have been very welcoming. Working in this space has allowed me to utilise my knowledge from both degrees and also from my previous role in Business Improvement.

Shivera: “Prior to this I had graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Public Policy.

I am so lucky to have started my professional career in such a lovely team with a manager who was committed to my development and cared about my wellbeing. In the team, I was exposed to work in various areas, including Operational Policy, Training, Operations Support, Document Security and completed work in various systems such as Housing Connect and SAHA’s Online Learning Environment.

Working in such a diverse unit meant that I was provided with a variety of interesting and engaging pieces of work and experiences. This included the management of SA Housing Authority's Online Learning Environment, a systematic review of the Online Learning Environment, the provision of support in the deployment training to regional staff members and a range of other projects.

While working in the Customer and Services space,  I provided administrative support for Customer and Services meetings and also participated in various visits to regional offices where I shadowed Housing Visits and Access Meetings.

This provided me with a better understanding and a good insight of the organisation and a greater appreciation for front-line staff members."
