Affordable home at Smithfield plains

Released in Adelaide's  north

SA Housing Authority in partnership with Rivergum Homes has released twenty-two new affordable homes in Adelaide's North. The release includes a total of 12 Torrens-titled fixed priced house and land packages selling for between $399,900 and $410,000, and 10 community title homes priced between $330,000 and $355,000.

The two-and-three-bedroom Smithfield Plains homes front Davison Crescent and Barrat Street, opposite the Curtis Road commercial precinct, close to services and shops. These architecturally designed homes feature well-appointed kitchen, dining and living areas.

These homes are part of the SA Housing Authority’s Affordable Homes Initiative which offers a range of single garage and double garage options.

Affordable housing supports individuals with low to moderate incomes. The initiative allows households with limited financial resources to dedicate no more than 30 per cent of their weekly income to housing expenses, be it for mortgage payments or rent.

This ensures that households can adequately budget for other essential living costs, including food, clothing, transportation, medical care, and education.

The homes are available on the SA Housing Authority’s affordable homes platform homeseeker.sa.gov.au.
